PicoSTP

PicoSTP is a simple, user-friendly and flexible stepper motor driver suitable for medium and low power, applications.

PicoSTP is the right choice for all applications where the small dimensions and best cost/performances ratio are important.

The board can operate between 12 and 40V and nominal current up to 1.6A in 8 micro-switch selectable levels; it also contains a useful built-in oscillator with analog input to self generate the step signal.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Supply voltage	min. 12Vdc max 40Vdc.
Phase current	8 micro-switch selectable levels from 200mA up to 1.6A/phase. Current auto-reduction function on stand-still. Chopping 20 kHz chopping frequency.
Resolution	HALF or FULL step selectable by means of a microswitch.
Motor types	For stepper motor with 4,6 or 8 windings in serial or parallel mode. Configurable for high and low inductance motors.
Oscillator	Built-in oscillator with external trimmer regulation (up to 6000 pps).
Inputs	Opto-coupled inputs. pnp o npn type.
Direction input	Optically insulated direction input. This input selects the CCW or CW rotation mode.
STEP input	Minimum width: 10us Maximu step rate: 8kHz
ENALBE input	Optically insulated direction input. This input enables the driver output stage and, when disabled, the motor is de-energized.
Protections	Short-circuit phase to phase, phase to ground.

NOTE: This driver could be programmed in factory for customized motion cycles without any increase in cost.
